Coaching During the Competition

The Australian Junior Chess Championships often attract some of Australia's strongest adult chess players who are watching on the sideline as coaches.

Coaching during the competition is a great opportunity for juniors to improve their chess, with expert pre-game preparation and post-game analysis.

Some of the state organisations recognise the value of coaching for their players and help fund coaches to come to the competition to coach to help juniors from their state. For example the NSW Junior Chess League run a coaching program for the competition for NSW players. The league goes some way to funding the coaches, but typically there is also a parent co-payment. Please note the deadline for entry to their program is Monday 10 October 2011.

So what about the rest of us. Well you have got to organise coaching yourselves. If you want competition coaching and have not already organised it, then you might think about one of the following coaching companies who have helped by sponsoring this competition.
